Club Scoring Procedures

 

The purpose of this document is to clearly define roles and responsibilities relating to the process of maintaining members scores and participation information (as required under the Firearms Act).

Definitions:

 

Participation Record Sheet:          An official club record that must be filled in and completed by every member that wishes his/her official participation recorded (details to be submitted to LRD). Every section of this document must be completed correctly.  This document has provision to record the member’s competition score.

 

Participation Record Sheet Box:   Box within the Club House where Range Sheets and Score Sheets are to be deposited at the end of each competition day.

Score Sheet:                                  An internal pistol club document used to record members scores. Used to check additions etc for Club Championship purposes.  Score Sheets must be submitted for all matches including Air Pistol. 

Club Calendar:                              The Calendar of Matches to be conducted by the Club each week.

Competition Days: 

The Club Calendar specifies the Matches that have been organised by the club on any given day. Only scores for Matches scheduled on the Club Calendar will be entered into the Club Championship database for that date

Members may shoot club competitions on days other than the specified Saturday for the Club Championships in the following circumstances:

Scores shot in club competitions held at other pistol clubs will be recorded in the Club Championship database in the following circumstances;

The following will not be entered into the Club Championship Data base.

Responsibilities of Club Members:

Each club member is responsible for the following:

Members are further responsible for placing the Participation Record Sheets in the Participation Record Sheet Box in the following circumstances:

Responsibilities of Club Captain: 

The Club Captain must:

·         Check all scores sheets for accuracy of additions, people shooting outside of the appropriate rules or any other anomalies.

·         Only enter into the “Annual Reporting” program “Match” scores that were shot on the appropriate Club Calendared Days and have been shot within the applicable rules.

·         Only enter into the “Annual Reporting” program “Match” scores for the Club Championships that were shot on the appropriate Club Calendared Days, within the Club Championship period and have been shot within the applicable rules.

·         Only enter in “Annual Reporting” program “Shoots” that were conducted on a Club Calendared Day (Sunday, Tuesday or Saturday).

·         Arrange for a copy of “Weekly Results” to be sent by email to ALL members for the previous week.
